The School was built in 1997 and was named in honor of the 1996 Olimpic Games held in the City of Atlanta the year before in 1996. The school rest and the campus includes 55 acres and the building size is 271,200 square feet.

The school mascot is the Knight and there is approximately 2,000 students attending the high school. As of the 2013 / 2014 Atlanta School Guide, Centennial High School ranks in the top 5 schools for SAT scores being 1667.

Location: Exit Holcomb Bridge Road, #7A, East. From the North, turn left at the exit. From the South, turn right at the exit.Go approximately two miles to the fifth traffic light. There is a Shell gas station on the corner. Turn left at the traffic light onto Eves Road Extension. At the stop sign, turn right onto Scott Road. The first entrance into the school is the stadium/gym parking lot. Use the second entrance on the left for non-athletic events.
